2008 update: Amid dozens of projects at the Brooklyn Roundhouse, Doyle and crew continue to work on the #190 when they can, and have made significant progress so far this year. The fuel tank cover and engine-room steps were fabricated and installed, as well as the roof and dynamic brake hatch.

Upon installation of the roof hatch, the crew was able to commence fabrication and installation of pipes and fittings for the cooling system. The engine blocks were inspected, cleaned, and reinstalled. Lastly, the remaining part of the roof still being fabricated is the turbo hatch, which will make accessing the turbo-charger easier than taking the entire roof off.
